SITEMAP IT
Guide

Sitemap IT generates a usable sitemap.xml file for static websites. Load a site ZIP or individual HTML files, review the detected pages, adjust page settings where needed, then download the finished sitemap for your site root.

How To Use Sitemap IT
Step 1: Enter Your Domain
Enter the base website domain so Sitemap IT can build complete URLs instead of local file paths.
Step 2: Load Files
Upload a site ZIP or select individual HTML files. Sitemap IT scans the files and builds a page inventory.
Step 3: Review Page Map
Check the pages that will be included. Review page type, change frequency, priority, noindex detection, and any excluded utility pages.
Step 4: Build And Download
Click SITEMAP IT to generate the XML, then click DOWNLOAD IT to save the finished sitemap.xml file.
What Sitemap IT Does
Finds Website Pages
Reads HTML files from a ZIP or file selection and prepares them for sitemap output.
Builds XML Output
Creates sitemap.xml formatting with URL entries, last modified values where available, change frequency, and priority.
Detects Page Types
Helps assign sensible sitemap values based on the kind of page being processed.
Protects Sitemap Quality
Flags or excludes pages that should not usually be submitted, such as utility pages, system pages, or noindex pages.
Cygnus Connect
🔒
Cygnus Connect unlocks larger website workflows. Free use supports smaller sitemap generation, while Cygnus Connect supports bigger uploads and full-site ZIP processing.
After Download
Upload sitemap.xml to the root of your website, usually at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.
Submit the sitemap URL in Google Search Console after deployment.
Run Sitemap IT again whenever you add, remove, or rename important pages.
Review the XML before uploading so old test pages or private pages are not included by mistake.
