SITEMAP IT
Guide

SITEMAP IT reads every HTML file in your site zip and builds a properly formatted sitemap.xml. It detects page types, assigns priority and change frequency automatically, and excludes utility pages like 404 and confirmation pages. Download the finished sitemap and drop it into your site root.

The Panels
Load Files

Shows total page count, excluded pages, and a breakdown of detected page types.
Page Map
Lists every page that will appear in the sitemap, with its assigned priority and change frequency. Review before generating.
XML Output
The finished sitemap.xml content. Download it and place it in your site root, then submit the URL to Google Search Console.
Smart Mode
🔒
Smart Mode — SITEMAP IT requires Smart Mode to process a full site zip.
Tips
After deploying your sitemap, submit it at search.google.com/search-console — this tells Google your pages exist.
Run SITEMAP IT whenever you add new pages, not just on first launch.
Utility pages (404, confirm, feedback-thankyou) are excluded automatically — you don't need to manage that list.
Open SITEMAP IT → Opens in a new tab — your guide stays open here.
